About: How beer glasses shape cultural spaces

The fact that beer plays a major role in German culture is well known, even internationally. And not just since many Americans' first association with Germany is "Autobahn and Beer". Even back in the days when the German region was still called Germania, the Roman historian Tacitus stated that it was not necessary to defeat the Germanic tribes with weapons, but that you could simply give them beer until they fell over (cf. Pontius, 2020).
